Prima September PPP challenge

Hello everyoneeee! Wow the month had passed by so fast and I was almost not in time to get something done to participate in Prima's september PPP challenge! The color palette feels so autumn, dont you think? And so I got inspired and did this up..
I smeared some gesso over the ledger paper, and misted the prima mask with some brown and yellow mist. After which I used a doily lace edge punch on a romance novel paper to layer behind the yellow cardstock to be the photomat. I tried to make a flower cluster at the sides with a few different flowers of almost the same color range, and added the crystals beneath them after creating a few layers of banner below the picture. I then misted the resist canvas butterflies, woah they are really pretty! Just love the way the end result comes out haha, I somehow created a round frame around the picture with some twines. Lastly, I realised I havent put the title on the layout yet! LOL so I just pulled some alphas from Prima and created the title on the yellow banner with some 3D dots beneath it to create some dimensions!

CSI #37 - Studying non stop

Hello everyone! Just a quick post before hopping to bed! This week has been totally busy with my internship and i finally squeezed out a little time to do some scrapbooking!
Such interesting colors and a sketch with it which I thought of doing a clean and simple layout at first... But I always arent able to do that! Lol so this was what I did..
And some close up pics on the journaling and elements...

I got inspired to scrapbook about my sister studying so hard for her major exams next month and thought that it was like a perfect picture for this color scheme! I spreaded some gesso over my mask and then misted it with some red and blue and gray over it to make the background before pasting the elements.
I used all the colors stated, and for the evidence, I did some pen work/doodling on the page and used a circle/packaging on Prima's flowers for the clock beside the picture!
For the testimony, I handwritten my journaling and broke up the journaling into 2 spots, and used the word 'break' as an inspiration for my title (Studying non stop; there gotta be some time for a break!) and journaling!

Thanks for looking and have a great day ahead!

CSI #36 - Sweet 16

A little quick post before hopping to bed! CSI #36! Such beautiful autumn-y colors to play with, and a sketch from OUAS to top it up! How fun!
Not forgetting the coordinates by the talented Michele..
And what I have created..
Argh, the polaroid film reflects the light!! sorry for the reflection on the picture !
And a few closeups for better viewing..

Used lots of distressing techniques and masking, misting!
Have used all the colors and the beautiful sketch by OUAS..
For the evidence, I used misting(the blue parts) and leaves on the flowers beside the title..
For the testimony, I used the S in the inspiration image to generate the "Sweet 16" title, and some for the journaling behind the page :)
(Sorry i wanted to take a picture of the journaling but my sis didnt let me lol as this layout was meant for her friend's birthday!)

Thanks for looking and have fun with CSI #37!

CSI #35 - Welcome to Madagascar!

Hello everyone! Hows everyone spending their week? Spent the whole friday and saturday outside with my friends! haha theres only a few days more to my internship, making me nervous and excited at the same time! O well, lets get to business.. CSI #35 has such vibrant colors and some pictures that I took at the Universal Studios Singapore on friday was suitable for me to coordinate with the colors thankfully :)
And what I had scrapped in time before the case ends..

I distressed the edges by inking and scrapping the sides with a scissors, and for the photo mat behind the photo, I teared strips and strips of paper and paste it together to make it feel like a sun/sunset shape. And the journaling is on a hidden lime tag found on the coordinates 35! Just love the "Life is so randomly beautiful" created by the talented Michele Singh, so I also put it beside my photo with the Glue dots to make it pop!
And some other closeup pictures..

And my journalling is on a hidden tag behind the picture :)
I used all the colors stated in the scheme, challenging colors to me as I always work with pastel colors!
For the evidence, I used paint to paint my background with a Prima mask i bought recently, and flowers at the corner :)
and the testimony, I documented something about the summer.. about a trip to the universal studios in singapore with my friend to celebrate her birthday :)

Okie dokie, have to run! Enjoy your weekend and thanks for looking!

Mojo Monday #257 and TPE164

Hello everyone! Just a quick post of the sketch #257 from Mojo Monday and The Pink Elephant challenge 164 of using patterned papers!

Beautiful sketch by the designers! I got inspired by what to use after blog-hopping at the 14 talented verve divas, really wonderful and beautiful work they made as always! And so what I decided on was..

-The patterned papers used are mostly from Prima's (Romantique and ledger papers collection)
-Distressing of the edges using the Vintage Photo distress ink pad from Tim Holtz
-The flower is made using the tattered florals die cut from Tim Holtz alterations with brown cardstock and patterned fabric that I thought was quite coordinating with the cardstock, topped up with a button
-And lastly the sentiment was stamped using the Verve Stamp "Happy Birthday" plain jane collection (love this collection!)

Thanks for looking! Have a great day ahead!
